72 Marine Pde, Miami handed in at $6 million.

SUN, waves, and an ice cream stand.

It was a quintessential Gold Coast public sale at Miami this afternoon when an unique seaside shack at 72 Marine Pde was provided to the market.

About 50 folks crammed into the upstairs front room as auctioneer Justin Nickerson of Apollo Auctions kicked off proceedings at 12 midday.

Bidding began at $4.36 million with six extra bids earlier than stalling at $5.6 million for negotiations.

Fifteen minutes later and the best bidder raised their bid to $6 million earlier than the property was handed in.

The property had no scarcity of curiosity because it hit the market earlier this month with greater than 150 inquiries, in keeping with Kollosche agent Carlie Mills, who marketed the property alongside principal Michael Kollosche.

“It’s one of many final remaining shacks alongside Marine Pde and clearly properties likes this don’t come up typically,” Ms Mills stated.

“It’s a 678sq m block with over 12m of frontage which has been driving up demand.

“Most blocks in Mermaid Seashore and Miami are 405sq m with 10m frontage.”

The blue shack, full with a white picket fence, unique timber flooring, and timber veneer cabinetry, has consumers torn on whether or not to carry, renovate or rebuild.

The distributors paid $3.7 million for the property in January, 2020, and a change of circumstances meant they wanted to now promote.

Miami has skilled fast development over the town’s Covid property increase, with homes up a staggering 103.1 per cent over three years to a median of $1.5 million, PropTrack knowledge reveals.
